A new twist in idle alert!

Idle alerts are quite a required feature in any GPS Vehicle tracking system like Vazhikaatti. The previous feature was to send an alert to the user every x minutes of the idle time configuration. So if a user has configured the idle alert for 1 hour, he will keep on getting the idle alert every 1 hour till the vehicle is idle (apart from the parking locations).
But there was a new requirement from one of our new customers not to continue the idle alerts after the first alert and send an alert only when the vehicle moves..
Now this alert is implemented and can be configured using the Alerts page "Tell me once".

Vazhikaatti on Mobile!

Having problems in checking positions of vehicles when you are away? Vazhikaatti vehicle tracking portal is quite a client rich platform to the extent that the tracking application cannot directly be directly viewed on a mobile phone.
Vazhikaatti now has a new presentation mode for such mobiles with GPRS capabilities. You can now view the positions using a dedicated url at http://m.vazhikaatti.net.
Check the url and be informed about your vehicles all the time!

Get an SMS or EMail alert about the latest position while you are away

Are you a person on the move most of the times ? This makes it harder to keep tab on

• where your asset is
• has it already reached the right destination
• Is it currently off the route etc.,

are some of the worries every owner has on his asset or vehicle's movement. Vazhikaatti has a feature to alleviate such worries by giving a scheduled alert.

How to enable a Scheduled Alert:

1. Visit www.vazhikaatti.net and logon to your account by using the Logon button on the top right.
2. Go to alert page.
3. Choose the vehicle which you are interested in getting the alert
4. choose Scheduled alert for the type of alert and choose the schedule (1/4 hourly, 1/2 hourly, hourly... etc.,) and choose the mobile and/or email address.
5. Click save and the alert will be sent to the mobile or email according to the schedule selected.
